About Inworks

Inworks is an Internet-based transaction gateway that allows people and organizations to make payments or donations to institutions conveniently via the Internet. Forms of payment include credit cards, debit cards and electronic checks.

The purpose of Inworks is to help educational and other nonprofit institutions reduce transaction costs, increase investment income and improve customer service.

The planning and development stages of Inworks began at Commonfund in 1996. In 2001, after a significant proportion of the target audience has become accustomed to electronic payment, Inworks was introduced.

Inworks is delivered as a hosted ASP (Application Service Provider) solution. This allows institutions to quickly benefit from the efficiency and economy Inworks brings with a minimum up-front investment of scarce resources.
