Commonfind generates a lot of interest at the NACUBO Annual Meeting

More than 100 participants at the Annual Meeting of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) experienced the Commonfind difference, taking a guided tour of the Commonfind e-procurement solution at our booth.

Large and small schools alike - as well as a number of suppliers - initiated sample transactions, set up storefronts and saw first hand how easy it is to do business electronically.

Of particular interest was the ease with which small and local suppliers could be enabled in the Commonfind solution - and how Commonfind can be a part of an integrated treasury solution for educational institutions.

At NACUBO, Commonfind also announced the names of the most recent institutions to join education's own e-marketplace as charter participants click here for press release. Plus we announced alliances with three major buying consortia, representing more than 1600 educational institutions:

State contracting/buying group for 78 Massachusetts institutions

www.foundationccc.org
Purchasing cooperative for 1500+ colleges nationwide

www.nboa.net
Association of 112 leading independent schools

NACUBO and Commonfund also jointly announced the formation of the Treasury Institute for Higher Education, a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing and developing best practices in treasury management. Among the topics that the Treasury Institute will be covering at its first annual meeting in January in New Orleans will be the challenges of managing e-commerce on campus.
