How do you make one of the world’s most popular promotions even more exciting? When Guinness approached Clarion with the challenge of increasing response to the Guinness Win Your Own Pub In Ireland contest, Clarion Interactive came up with a powerful program energizer. Clarion marketers added a whole new level of excitement and interactivity to the program by promoting it to a thirsty audience on the World Wide Web. Our innovative Web site featured a video walk-through of the actual pub, human interest stories about previous winners, and an on-line entry form in which entrants were invited to describe why Guinness is their perfect pint. The results? An astonishing 32,000 essays were fielded in a matter of weeks - and sales for all Guinness brands were up significantly.
